Direct QSL cards sent yesterday

OC-090 planned

After nice holidays on Siargao (OC-235) I took decision to visit Philippines again in November.

This time I am going to stay on Busuanga Island - OC-090. Not very rare but last time activated 4 years ago in May 2013. During my trip to Siargao I brought 50 kgs of stuff (radio, PA, PS's, hexbeam etc.) what was not easy to carry and caused quite big expenses for excess baggage.

I do not want to give up PA, which helped me a lot on Siargao, but I am not going to bring again my hexbeam which works great and covers bands from 6 to 20m but, together with mast, is one of the most heavy things I had with me. I am considering to take a VDA but this is a monoband antenna so I could work on one band (eg. 20m) only.

I hope many of you can advise me what kind of multiband and lightweight antenna could be used. I will appreciate any suggestion.

My nice vacation is over. QRT 16 May, around 2130z. Almost 800 QSOs done. 23% with EU.
50 kg of load (including 1.2 kW PA) back home without damages.
SP7SP amplifier worked great. Without that I wouldn't be able to work others than JAs.
Unfortunately my vacation coincided in time with Cezar E51LYC activation. So, I worked him from DU but wasn't able to add OC-098 to my SP5APW IOTA list...
Thank you all for nice QSOs and sorry that I couldn't be on air more. I did the best I could.

Last 24h on Siargao. QRT tomorrow.

I am going QRT tomorrow. At the moment there is 650 QSO's logged. 20% with EU. Prop is still bad.

Only 500 QSOs

The propagation is bad. Only 500 QSOs is done. I wonder if bringing of 50 kg gears is worth that. The only slight and short opening to EU and NA was yesterday. I am mainly calling CQ, self-spotting and, in the meantime, working JA.
